One of Ibadan’s most exclusive private schools, Mahanatez International School in Oluyole Estate recently celebrated its annual end of session and send forth programme.
The event, which was attended by top dignitaries, stakeholders in the education sector in Nigeria, parents, guardians and other well wishers was full of colours and glamour.
It was particularly witnessed by the newly appointed Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mrs. Aderonke Makanjuola, Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Education, Dr. Bisi Akin-Alabi, Mr. Adeyemi Adekola, Special Assistant to the Governor on Education and one of the school’s Patrons and former Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, Mr Zachaeus Adelabu.
In her welcome address, the school’s Proprietress, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Education, Hajjia Bolatito Adebisi expressed her gratitude to Almighty God for the fulfillment of efforts after years of sacrifice, dedication, commitment and hard work.
She noted that the journey, despite being a stretching and challenging one, has been very interesting and encouraging. Hajjia Bolatito Adebisi attributed the success recorded so far to the support, cooperation and trust of parents, guardians, who believed in the mission and vision of the school’s management.
According to her, “I want to specially thank my parents, guardians for your support and cooperation all through the year, for believing in the mission and vision of this great citadel of learning. Your decision to trust us with your children is part of what has brought us here today.”
Hajjia Adebisi commended members of staff of the school for their hard work, dedication and commitment to make the vision of the school a reality. She also charged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school and to always exhibit good moral and values they got from Mahanatez International School.
Dr. Bisi Akin-Alabi, Mrs. Aderonke Makanjuola and Zachaeus Adelabu in their goodwill messages congratulated the management and parents of Mahanatez International School for the cooperation and support given to the children towards realizing a better future.
Dr. Akin-Alabi commended the parents for being there for their children through the support given to the management to achieve the school’s aims and objectives, which is to build excellence in childhood education. She added that the confidence which has been imparted in the children will enable them to compete favourably among their colleagues.
SUBEB Chairman, Mrs. Makanjuola urged the students, particularly the graduating ones to always be the best they can be, and that they should remember that charity begins from home.
Zachaeus Adelabu, former Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State commended Hajjia Bolatito Adebisi for her effort in promoting childhood education, noting that whoever opens the gate of a school has closed the gate of prison. He advised the children to see today as starting point to where they are heading in the future.
Choreography, poems and song presentations from students from different grades were the highlights of the event.
