The demise of High Chief (Dr) Femi Olaifa announced early Friday was caused by stroke, PMParrot can authoritatively confirm.
The death of the former strongman of the defunct National Party of Nigeria came less than a week after the Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital (UCH), Professor Temitope Alonge announced the result of a research carried out by his hospital during an interview that about 35 per cent of adults in Ibadan are hypertensive.
Our source who preferred anonymity informed “Doctor Olaifa was brought into UCH on Thursday unconscious, he had stroke. He died in the early hours of Friday.”
Even though the Olubadan’s Palace would neither confirm nor deny the news, PMParrot gathered that the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji has already sent people to the Apata, Ibadan home of the very High Chief to confirm.
Until his death, he was the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland.
