Mr Edgal Imohimi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police has been appointed by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris as the new Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command.
Edgal was until his appointment the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Lagos State Police Command.
Although the signal is out, he is billed to take over from the incumbent, Fatai Owoseni, who has been running the helm of affairs of the state for two years.
Although Owoseni is supposed to be on the verge of retiring, nothing is known yet about what next he will be asked to do.
