Have you too read the much publicized ‘official statement’ of Olori Wuraola, the estranged Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on her Instagram page where she confirmed the marriage breakup?

PMParrot can authoritatively state here that the Ooni is not likely to react or reveal the real reasons behind the break up because of his status as a foremost traditional ruler in Africa.

Since the rumour broke out some weeks back, PMParrot reporters have been working to unravel the reasons behind the break up of the much celebrated marriage.

All our Palace sources agreed that a major component of the challenge faced by the Queen was that she was not liked by almost 90 per cent of those who worked or had anything to do with the Palace including the siblings of the Ooni.

One of our sources was specific “the Queen used to look at most of the workers in the Palace with disdain and treated them like riff raffs. She was so full of herself.”

Yet, another Palace source told PMParrot reporters that the fundamental reason for the breakup is “not what can be revealed because it is sordid. The Ooni, in his wisdom will talk about it when he is ready. For now, it is best to allow the young lady to go and live her life.”

When we probed further, another source from within the Palace told us that the issue of ‘infidelity’ she raised in her Instagram message was not the exact truth.

Submitted our source “she is now free to live her life, a life that she cannot tell anybody about. She confided in one of Kabiyesi’s friends who is based in Canada about her life. She and one of her friends whose names start with ‘S’ can now live their lives.”

We also gathered that the last trip the Ooni had to London with the Olori was extremely ‘stormy’ and ‘never to be forgotten’.

Another Palace source who gave us a graphic description of what happened said “the London episode should never be mouthed, not to talk of being printed online or offline. All I can say is that we have humbly informed Baba to forget and move on and allow the Olori to live her life.”

We also gathered that prominent Ile Ife sons and daughters are already planning how to get another befitting wife for the Ooni. Unconfirmed sources said a parade of beauties was conducted at the Ile Oduduwa some days back. Two Youth Corpers (NYSC Members) were reportedly included.

For now, Olori Wuraola has dropped Ogunwusi from her names and reverted to Zaynab Otiti Obanor to finally confirm the breakup of the 17-months’ wedlock.

For records’ purposes, we hereby reproduce Olori Wuraola’s official statement published on her Instagram Page:

“We have got to stop this culture of shaming and vilifying women with false stories of infidelity & nefarious behavior. The spreading of false information (through “sources” afraid to be identified) is the mark of cowards and a cover up for guilty parties to justify their horrific actions. There is absolutely no truth to the media circulated lies of infidelity and infertility- on my end.

What I can confirm, is that the Ooni and I are no more. I inhale love & exhale gratitude. My journey continues as a Humanitarian aiding women and victims of domestic violence & abuse with the United Nations. No matter how much time you’ve invested, no matter the use of media to silence & manipulate, no matter the circumstance, slander, embarrassment, threats and lies: Get out and seek immediate help!

We’ve seen this movie before. Women being dragged in the press & blamed for everything under the sun. This behavior is unacceptable. I urge those involved to be mindful of their actions for the eyes of our Almighty God are always watching. The seeds of slander is a cancer that harvests to eat away the souls of the planter.

The throne is sacred and the attempts to tarnish the name of a Queen, in defense or on behalf of a silent King makes all involved look terrible. Remain dignified in all you do. It’s not the end of the world, but the start of a new chapter and you must turn the page with grace. The world is watching.

As I bid adieu to this chapter, my wish to you all is to step into your lives – boldly & fearlessly, the way God intended and live not just by words, but through example. The best chapter in our lives is the one we are writing now. Thank you for your love and support.

With peace, love & light, -Her Highness, Zaynab Otiti Obanor.”
