Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has emphasized that he will make sure that Nigeria qualify for their sixth World Cup ahead of personal glory when they face with Zambia on Saturday in Uyo.
Changchun Yatai F.C striker was one of the shining lights in Nigeria’s games against Cameroon in September when he was on target in the 4-0 rout of the African champions on match day three and played through the pain barrier in Yaounde after picking up an injury in Uyo.
“First and foremost the game against Zambia is about teamwork,” said Ighalo said..
”We pray to win the game, the most important thing is to win the game on Saturday. It is not about personal glory.”
Ighalo bagged an assist in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Cameroon on September 4 when he teed up Moses Simon in the 30th minute.
The ex-Flying Eagles skipper is enjoying a fine season with Changchun Yatai, netting 12 goals from 24 appearances.
