The activities of the leader of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State and a former governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has been reported to President Muhammadu Buhari by the state’s governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Ajimobi who made this revelation while speaking with State House Correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday also said he reported the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji too.

The governor further revealed that he called the President’s attention to the face-off between him and the monarch over the recently reviewed Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration.

He said he also called the President’s attention to the fact that the crisis created by the review had been politicised, having been hijacked by a politician who is interested in his office.

The governor said he, however, assured Buhari that although the Olubadan deserved to be deposed based on his actions, he would not remove him because of the father-son relationship between them.

When contacted, the spokesman for Governor Ajimobi, Mr Yomi Layinka was not available but one of his assistants said he was in a meeting in Ibadan and not in Abuja with his principal (Ajimobi).

“There is nothing we can tell you from Ibadan since our boss is in Abuja and we are here in the Governor’s Office in Ibadan”, said the aide.
