As a form of giving back to the society, the proprietress of Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Center, Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde recently celebrated her birthday with the less privileged at the Living Words Mission Orphanage Home in the capital city of Oyo State.
Ambassador Ayinde, who is a principal partner of Ministry of Youths and Sports, zone 1 on grassroots sports development said she decided to celebrate her birthday this year with the less privileged because she wanted to use the opportunity to thank God for His mercy over her and also to show her concern for the children.
Ambassador Ayinde, who stormed the orphanage home in Ososami area of Ibaban with fanfare, donated food and other items to the home and pledged a monthly financial support as part of Kayrom Lee Limited’s contribution to the upkeep of the home. She also promised her readiness to celebrate with the children on every festive period.
She, however, used the opportunity to call on well meaning Nigerians in the society to use their wealth to alleviate the suffering of the people, particularly orphans and the less privileged ones.
She lamented that if the well-to-do people in the society stand in support and cater for the needs of the less privileged, their lives will be better and meaningful.
The soft spoken Ayinde, who is also a member of the Oyo State Aquatics Association (OSAA) urged the children to have belief in their ability and not to see the present challenges confronting them as everlasting, advising them to focus on whatever they do and believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
In her remarks, the owner of the Orphanage Home, Mrs. Williams expressed her gratitude to God and people like Kayrom Lee boss for their support towards ensuring the sustenance of the home.
“There is nothing the children need more than the support from the members of the public and such gesture goes a long way with the children,” she said.
Mrs. Williams then prayed for the management of Kayrom Lee Limited for the gifts of money and food items donated for the upkeep of the home.
