It was a colourful day at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi when popular fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma came visiting to invite the monarch to his fast approaching 50th birthday.
While speaking, the Fuji star praised the Ooni, describing him as a great Monarch who has the love of his people, community and Yorubaland at heart.
Said the musician, “I have been looking for the opportunity of meeting you in person Kabiyesi. You have really shown a road map to sons and daughters of Yorubaland to let us know that unity and love should be maintained.”
Pasuma then went ahead to inform Oba Ogunwusi of his plans to celebrate his 50th birthday and House-Warming party.
He disclosed that the events are scheduled to hold in Lagos on December 3rd, 2017.
He equally used the opportunity to congratulate the Ooni on his 43rd birthday.
While reacting to the speech, Oba Ogunwusi shocked his audience as he declared that he has been one of the biggest fans of Pasuma since days of ‘Orobokibo’ and ‘Americana’.
Oonirisa also agreed and confirmed his interest in attending the musician’s birthday party. “I love your swags, music, passion and philanthropic activities because several people have testified to your generosity and I pray from the depth of my heart that you will never go under”.
Oba Ogunwusi also declared that Pasuma would be hosted at the palace sometime after the 50th birthday event.
He disclosed that the fuji act would be ‘lured’ to stage a ‘command performance’ for all at the Palace.
Pasuma who gladly agreed to the request also sang and dazzled the monarch and his chiefs in the Palace before leaving.
