The fifth anniversary of the demise of former Oyo Governor, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina was marked by family, friends and former aides on Saturday.
The prayer session which saw the former aides of the late political strategist, the ‘Abe Tent’ members regrouping also had Alhaji Lam’s widow, Alhaja Sarat Adeola Adesina in attendance.
At the popular ‘Abe-Tent’, Islamic clerics offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.
The event which took place at the Felele, Ibadan residence of the late politician was also attended by his former deputy, Barr. Iyiola Oladokun, former Personal Assistant, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle as well as, APC’s Vice-Chairman in the state, Alhaji Isiaka Alimi, a governorship aspirant, Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Lasun Adebunmi, children of the deceased, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye and others were present.
Thanking those who have stood with the family since his father’s demise, first son of the deceased, Dr. Ayobami Lam-Adesina was quoted by insideoyo.com as saying “Chief Oladokun, who was my father’s deputy has never deserted this house since my father died. Same for Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Alhaji Akintunde and others”.
He urged them to continuously pray for his late father and the family, adding that he is happy with those who have continued to uphold the principles of his late father.
