Former Coach of the Super Eagles, Christian Chukwu has admonished the senior National team and their handlers not to be distracted by the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.
The Former Enugu Rangers Coach who was very optimistic about the strength of the current crop of players in the team, said they should not let the ranking bothered them.
“I don’t even know how FIFA does the thing, but I think the team right now is very okay and I will like to implore them not to look at the rankings at all”, Chukwu said.
Christian Chukwu was the Captain of the Green Eagles as far back as 1980, he played alongside top man, Segun Odeghbami and he led the squad that won the 1980 African Cup of Nations as Captain.
The former Kenya National team coach has also managed the Super Eagles on different occasion, before joining Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
