2018: Ogun Commissioner Reveals How State Plans To Attract More Development Partners

Ogun State’s Ministry of Budget and Planning says it will develop a well -coordinated planning blueprint for the monitoring of the implementation of the actualization of the State’s goal by 2019.

The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Ms. Adesina Adenrele said this while taking her turn to defend the Ministry budget before members of the Assembly, while stating that such measures would reposition the State towards attracting more development partners.

Adenrele added that the Ministry was irrivocably committed towards providing development support for orderly actualization of government activities using fiscal planning and management reforms as change agent in the overall interest of the citizenry.

She stressed that the Ministry through efficient resources utilization and management would ensure compliance with due process and achieve value for money through the implementation of the procurement law and effective budget monitoring.

In view of the forgoing, the Commissioner proposed a budget size of N2.57B out of which capital projects would gulp N1.959B, while N611m was earmarked for recurrent expenditure with expected revenue put at N3m.
