Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime has advised Christians in Nigeria to allow their actions and thought to be guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ who preached love and humility.

Buhari, an APC chieftain representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly in a Christmas message urged Nigerian Christians to emulate the life style of Jesus Christ,  and be their brothers’ keeper irrespective of religious and tribal affiliation.

According to him “we have come a long way together and we should continue to tolerate and  relate with each others as brothers and at the same time work together for the advancement and development of our dear country.

“Nigeria as a country needs our unity and contributions together to survive the current situation and if we pray and fight against the unwanted situation together we shall win together and enjoy the dividends together”.

Buhari also used the opportunity to urge Nigerians not to lose hope on the future of Nigeria saying “We should demonstrate the kind of faith and patience which Jesus Christ demonstrated during his lifetime and believe that all will be well soon”.

While wishing the Christian faithful a wonderful Christmas celebration and a prosperous 2018, the Ogbomosho born Senator equally prayed for  good development, peaceful coexistence and more progress of the nation in the year ahead and beyond.

He also pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Muhammad Buhari and the APC that better days are ahead.
