All arrangements have been concluded for Lagos State’s Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to deliver a lecture at the 2018 edition of Ladoke Akintola Memorial anniversary in Ibadan.
The lecture which is scheduled to hold at the Parliamentary Building, Secretariat, Ibadan on 11th January is to commemorate the 52nd year anniversary of the death of the late Premier of the defunct Western Region.
According to a press statement signed by Ladoke Akintola Foundation’s Coordinator, Yemi Adedokun, Governor Ambode will speak on ‘National Integration and National Development’ while Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state are the lead discussants.
He also disclosed that Prof. O. B. C. Nwolise will speak on the topic : Akintola & Self Government, Chairman Barr. Adegboyega Awomolo while Chief Richard Akinjide is the father of the day.
Adeokun said further that the reconstructed statue of the late sage Samuel Ladoke Akintola at the Secretariat in Ibadan will be unveiled by the Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Apart from state governors, other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include traditional rulers, scholars, doyens of industries, top government officials and students from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
