Cleric Tasks Muslims To Propagate Islam With Their Wealth And Money

Muslims all over the country have been enjoined to show more commitment to the propagation of the course of Islam using their wealth and money.

A prominent Islamic cleric, Sheik Mahamud Elesinmeta gave the admonition during the 5th Year Inauguration anniversary of Nasru-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Challenge branch, held at the branch’s praying ground in Ibadan.

Sheik Elesinmeta, while quoting from Quran Chapter 2 Verse 26, he pointed out that Aljanat Fridaus is a major reward for the people who spend their wealth and fortune towards the course of propagation of Islam.

He expressed that the observation of the five pillars of Islam involves quality health system to perform solat (prayers) and money to perform Ramadan, Zakat and Hajj, adding that Iman (Faith) is not complete without wealth.

Sheik Elesinmeta disclosed that many Islamic leaders have jeopardized the trust people entrust in them by mismanaging monetary support given to them from international communities to propagate Islamic activities in their country.

While urging members, executive and all standing committees of NASFAT to desist from acts of corruption, Sheik Elesinmeta established that there is no way anyone that practices Islam contrary to the doctrine laid down by almighty Allah will not go unpunished.

He charged those that have the wherewithal within the organization to always assist other members who are in need for the progress of the organization.

While delivering his welcome address, NASFAT Chairman, Challenge branch, Abdulwaheed Afolabi, stated that the 5th inauguration anniversary ceremony was to give thanks to almighty Allah, who has been guiding the branch since its inauguration.

Mr. Afolabi disclosed that the objectives of his administration remain to continue from where the past administration stopped, which is to complete the ongoing mosque project, construction of classrooms for children and procurement of shuttle bus to ease the movement of members.

He urged members to remain committed to the course of Islam by using their money to propagate Islam as it has been the choice topic for the anniversary lecture.

In attendance were the Oyo Zone Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Olaosebikan, Oyo Chief Missioner, Alhaji Adekilekun, Oyo Zonal Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Fadahunsi, representatives of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi.

Highlights of the event included Asalat rendition, Quran recitation and parade by NASFAT Cadets.
