English Premier League side, Leicester City are willing to offload Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, the Foxes have admitted they made a mistake and are prepared to let the Nigeria international leave, even if it means making a loss on the £25million striker.

It is claimed that the stumbling block to a proposed departure from the King Power Stadium is that Iheanacho currently earns around £115,000-a-week (or N2.9 billion a year), which might not be matched by an interested European club.

The former Manchester City starlet was out of favour under manager Craig Shakespeare, before he was declared surplus to requirements by new boss Claude Puel.

The 21-year-old’s game time has been inconsistent, with only two Premier League starts against Huddersfield Town and West Brom.

Last summer, French club Monaco were interested in Iheanacho’s signature but he preferred a move to Leicester City.
