The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi has been speaking about why his leadership at the House has been collaborating with the state’s Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
He explained further that the legislative arm in the State will continue to collaborate with the Amosun led-administration to maximise all available opportunities and resources for the delivery of democratic dividends to the people till the last day in office.
Adekunbi, who gave the assurance in an interview shortly after an interdenominational prayer to mark his 43rd Birthday alongside the fifth birthday of his triplets in Abeokuta, explained that the 8th Assembly remained a committed and credible partner in the rebuilding mission.
According to him, the current legislature in the State was committed to ensuring successful implementation and sustenance of democratic dividends in all parts of the State, saying this could only be achieved through enabling legislations and mutual interdependence of all arms of government as being exemplified by the present administration in the State.
The Speaker, who extolled Governor Amosun for his visionary leadership style and uncommon zeal, commended his colleague-lawmakers and management of the Assembly for their cooperation and support in the enactment of people-oriented legislations which had transformed all spheres of the State economy, with an assurance that the legislature under his leadership would continue to ensure quality representation.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the Clerk of the Assembly, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu in company of other management staff congratulated the Speaker, describing him as an administrator par excellence who had managed human and material resources effectively since his assumption of office in 2011.
The Clerk assured that the entire members of staff of the House would continue to work assiduously to ensure the success of the ongoing rebuilding mission in the State.
