The Director of Football, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka, has said the club will continue to discover and develop more talents to become big stars in football.
Chukwuemeka said this on Tuesday at the club’s secretariat, Ilorin during a courtesy call on him by the new board members of the Kwara Sports Council.
He said the objective of the proprietor of the club, Dr. Bukola Saraki, was to give young Nigerians opportunity to become big football stars through his platform.
“We will not deviate from the objectives set by our proprietor.
“We have not failed in the last 10 years of our creation, because we have one player or the other discovered by the club around the globe and Nigeria Premier league clubs.
“We don’t do things anyhow here, we do according to the rules that govern the game.
“I want to thank you for coming to align with us” Chukwuemeka said.
The Nigeria Premier league Club Owners Scribe, solicited the support of the board members on facilities use and other areas.
Earlier in his remarks, the new chairman of the board, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Abdulkareem, said the board made the club its first pot of call because of its rich history in developing talents.
He assured the ABS management of the board’s support at all times while urging them to make a quick return to the elite division of the nation’s football league.
“Don’t hesitate to tell us where you need us, we will try our best to help.
“We are happy with what you are doing, we want you to dig deep into the grassroots to help us catch them young” Abdulkareem said.
The ABS DOF later presented the club’s jersey to the new chairman and promised to also make available for all other members.
