Victor Oluwadamilare, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has announced that he would be quitting his job by the end of March, 2018.
In a message he posted on his Facebook profile page on Tuesday titled ‘Everything has its time’, Oluwadamilare submitted that “I have worked as the spokesperson to the only representative from Oyo State in the Federal Executive Council for 28 months. It has been a robust exposure for me. The experience for me has been second to none.”
While thanking colleagues in the pen-pushing profession for the love they extended to him, the former boss of the Oyo State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists wrote “There is no way I can forget other journalists, especially those on general beats -particularly in Lagos -that have had one encounter or the other with my loquacious boss.
“They all displayed uncommon camaraderie by protecting me indirectly in their editorial judgments any time my boss mis-gived. They usually called me, urging me to advise my boss on his utterances. For this and many more, I thank you all for helping me to make my job more manageable.”
While speaking on what his next plan is, Oluwadamilare said gleefully “I will be returning to active journalism once more -my Vintage Spring stable beckons! My Independent Media Consultancy can no longer wait! My nosy instinct as a Reporter at Large roars to action! On April 1, I am back on the beat again!”.
Our attempts to get Barrister Adebayo Shittu’s side of the development were not successful.
