A frontline Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants in Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has began moves to reunite the party in preparation for the fast-approaching electoral battles in 2019.
The soft-spoken politician was quoted as saying that the party will wax stronger after the initial crises over ‘harmonisation’ that is presently causing rancor.
Makinde’s stand was made known on Monday via a statement issued and signed by the head of media of the Seyi Makinde Organisation, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
 He said that rather than lose members, people from other parties will join the PDP in droves and appealed to members to desist from comments that can confuse party members and the public who are clamouring for genuine change come 2019.
The statement lauded the role being played in the past few days by party leaders including Senator Rashidi Adewolu ladoja, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Senator Hosea Agboola, Hon Mulikat Adeola Akande and particularly members of the National Executive Council in resolving the matter.
Makinde reiterated the importance of compromise in moving the party forward and away from the current distraction.
