Cercle Brugge defender, Elderson Echiejile has expressed his excitement on his return to the Super Eagles team after missing out on the last two games against Algeria and Argentina.
Echiejile arrived the Super Eagles hotel in Wroclaw, Poland in the company of Isreal-based John Ogu, Belgium based Moses Daddy Simon, however, added he is looking forward to reclaiming his place in the team after missing out on the last two games.
The former AS Monaco player has remain Coach Gernot Rohr’s first choice left back since the Franco-German tactician took over the National team.
“I’m happy to be back and the fight for my place is on and I’m prepared for it,” the 30-year-old defender said.
“The game against Poland will be tough because our defense must stop the Polish attackers, especially Lewandowski who we all know his pedigree in World football as one of the biggest strikers, if not the best.
“But it’s good we get these tests now to put the team in shape and try other formations with different players.”
The Super Eagles will depart for London on Saturday to face Serbia on 27th at the Barnet stadium.
