As a result of the success of the workshop held by the management of Crown FC and Oyo State Football Association, the administrative secretary of the club, Kunle Oyeleke has vouched for a better conduct of their fans and good understanding of the players and officials of the professional side.
Oyeleke who disclosed this while answering questions from the sporting press in Ibadan recently said the Ogbomoso fans got the NPFL hammer last season and are now more knowledgeable and better prepared for the pro-league season that is underway, considering better understanding between the club’s management and the leadership of the supporters.
“We just held a sensitization program tagged “The Psychology of Peace on Match Venues” where the Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea came to deliver paper with many of our fans and all football stakeholders in Ogbomoso in attendance. The sensitization talk was purposely organized to educate football lovers and all stakeholders in Ogbomoso”, he noted.
The former spokesperson of the club added that the players and the technical crew of Crown are well motivated within the limit of the funds available to the club and are ready to hit the ground running when the season start by 6th of April, because the club is not ready to allow the promotion ticket to slip away from their hands again.
Meanwhile, the second phase of the two legged pre-season friendly match between Crown FC of Ogbomoso and Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan, organized by Oyo FA will be played on Sunday at Lekan Salami Sports Complex Ibadan, Crown won the first leg by 4-2 in Soun Township Stadium Ogbomoso last weekend.
