Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has congratulated the state Deputy Governor, Professor Kolapo Olusola, over his submission of his nomination form for this year’s governorship election at the Wadata Plaza headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, at the weekend.
According to a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, weekend, in Ado-Ekiti, Pastor Oluwawole also expressed optimism that the scholar would emerge as the party’s candidate and go on to win the election.
He said the time had come for Ekiti to identify those politicians who were truly out to develop their state, despite whatever challenges, adding that the professor of building technology had keyed into the development plan for the entire state.
“Professor Olusola is a good example of the right people our state needs to govern. He single-handedly, with the help of Commissioner Jide Egunjobi, turned around our appealing rating in education. Thanks to Governor Ayodele Fayose that rẹposes that confidence in him.
“Besides, he knows all the masterplan of the development of this state infrastructurally that his boss, Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose had penciled in. I am sure Ekiti people will not fritter away the opportunity this scholar offers us.
“I congratulate him on this step in the right direction and I believe he is the choice of the Lord for our state at this time. Victory is sure for him all the way. Our people have accepted him,” he said.
