An aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly in the 2019 general elections, Hon. Mariam Tolani Adigun Tajudeen has been conferred with the title of Oluomo Adini of Ar-Rauf Prayer Group of Nigeria.
She was honoured alongside others at the 10th anniversary and 4th turbaning & merit award ceremony of the group which was held at Mapo Hall premises, Ibadan on Sunday 22nd April, 2018.
Speaking on the award, the Founder, Ar-Rauf Prayer Group of Nigeria, Alhaji Imam Saheed Gbadamosi disclosed that Hon. Tolani was honoured with the title based on her contributions and support towards the propagation and development of Islam and humanity.
While presenting the award, the Chief Imam of Oodua Cocoa House, Ibadan, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul Jeleel Basunu described Hon. To lani has a virtuous and humble woman whose life is worthy of emulating by other women seeking to occupy political office in the State and indeed, Nigeria.
Responding to the award conferred on her, Hon. Tolani Adigun appreciated the Islamic group for finding her worthy of the award and promised to continue to use her wealth and resources for the betterment of Islam and the society at large.
She was accompanied to receive the award by a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, Otunba Kolapo of Oasis Palace Hotel, and others.
It would be recalled that Hon. Tolani Adigun is aspiring to contest for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly election to represent the Ibadan South West Constituency I in the 2019 election.
