The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) and Kwese Sports have signed an agreement to delight football fans in Nigeria with the free live action of every FIFA World cup match on terrestrial television.
BON Chairman, Mr John Momoh while explaining the terms and conditions of the agreement said: “Our focus is on providing the best services to our viewers, listeners and clients. This time around, by combining the wide and national coverage of our members with Kwese’s offering, we can ensure any Nigerian who wants to, will have the opportunity to watch the matches and cheer their team to victory during the FIFA World Cup”
This offering is available on all free-to-air television regardless of location
To this end, BON and Kwese have dedicated every resource available to ensure high-quality sports coverage that will be indelible in our minds for a long time.”
Terrestrial television viewers will get to view 32 key matches out of the 64 games at the one-month-long event hosted by Russia.
The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) is the umbrella body of and a broad coalition of public and private broadcasters which includes Terrestrial Radio Television (Tv), Direct-To-Home (DTH), Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and Multimedia Distribution System (MMDS).
BON which was established in 1973, is comprised of over 100 members and they collectively own over 250 radio and television stations across Nigeria.
Kwese Free Sports is Africa’s first pan-African free-to-air channel, which boasts of broadcasting round the clock some impressive international sports content, most of which are exclusive to the Kwesé TV network. The channel is currently available in 20 countries in Africa.
