Departed Nigerian Writers To Be Honoured By SYNW

All is now set for The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) to launch its latest literary project tagged “Literary Digital Archive Project (LIDAP) aimed at immortalizing twenty renowned and famous Nigerian writers.

Mr. Wole Adedoyin, President of SYNW made this known during a book launch which took place in Ibadan recently.

According to him, the literary digital archive project will make use of social media platforms like blogsand facebook pages. Profiles, works and latest academic research on each of our selected dead writer(s) will be showcased.

Each departed writer will be given a blog and facebook fan pagewhich will always be updated from time to time.

Renown and famous departed writers considered for this project are, Zulu Sofola, Ene Henshaw, T.M Aluko (1918-2010), D.O. Fagunwa, Elechi Amadi, Cyprian Ekwensi, Buchi Emecheta, Christopher Okigbo, Catherine Obiajunu Acholonu (1951 – 2014), Ola Rotimi, Wale Ogunyemi, Amos Tutuola, Chinua Achebe (1930–2013), Olabimtan, Abubakar Gimba, Akinwumi Isola, Adebayo Faleti, Mamman Vatsa, Ulli Bier and Festus Iyayi.

Mr. Adedoyin further assured literary stakeholders of the project readiness latest 20th of June of this month.
