CD Feirense midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has admitted that the Super Eagles are not yet a finished product but are improving ahead of their opening game at the World Cup against Croatia on Saturday, June 16.
Nigeria kicked off their schedule in 2018 with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Poland but failed to win their last four friendly matches against Serbia, Democratic Republic of Congo, England and Czech Republic.
Due to their poor showing in those preparatory games, a number of fans have written off the chances of the team in Russia, especially as they are in a tricky group containing Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
Speaking to reporters, Etebo said : ”We are improving every day, and there is a room to improve.
”Every training session, like the friendly games, it is important for the team, it is important that we know our weakness. We are improving every day.”
The Super Eagles will fly to Russia on Monday evening and will hold their first training session on Tuesday, starting from 1700 hours local time, with 500 fans, including 300 school children, expected to watch the open training session.
