Russian Premier League club, CSKA Moscow have announced on their official website that Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa is no longer their player as the loan agreement between the club and Leicester City expired today, June 15.
The Nigeria international returned to the Muscovites for a second spell in the January transfer window after falling out of favour at his parent club Leicester City and ended the season with seven goals ( 3 assists) in 16 appearances.
Musa also helped the Army Men qualify for the group stage of next season’s UEFA Champions League.
”We thank Musa for his contribution and wish success at the 2018 World Cup and in his future career,” CSKA Moscow wrote.
The former Kano Pillars and VVV Venlo star has a contract with Leicester City until June 30, 2020 but has been linked with a departure from the club, with Galatasaray credited with an interest.
Musa is expected to start on the bench in the Super Eagles World Cup opener against Croatia on Saturday.
