Dr Bukola Saraki, the Senate President has eulogized the former National President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the first female Chartered Accountant in sub-Saharan Africa, late Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Olutoyin Olusola Olakunri.
Saraki, who spoke at the wake keep service for Olakunri, held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, described the former Chairman of the Education Trust Fund as a dependable listener, who always provided wise counsel.
“I thank the Almighty God for the life of Mama Olakunri. She lived a life that was worthy of emulation.
“Personally, I had many fond memories of her. Over the years, I went to her many times for counsel and wisdom and she was always there for me. She will be dearly missed.
“We give grace to Almighty God for her life, because as a mother, a professional and as a leader in the country, she led the way for a lot of people — especially women — in this country.
“We will miss her. May her soul Rest In Peace,” the President of the Senate said.
