Concerned members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have asked Moshood Adeoti, one of those who lost out the the recently held gubernatorial primary election who has crossed over to the Action Democratic Party (ADP) to immediately quit his office as Secretary to the Osun State Government.

The cross section party members who spoke with PMParrot in Osogbo on Monday said the former SSG should have been more patient.

Said one of the party leaders who insisted on anonymity “It is not a matter of going and coming, he needs to immediately disappear from Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s government. He has showed that he is self centred. He should have waited to meet with other party elders to see how his complaints can be attended to.

A member of the Aregbesola cabinet who spoke with PMParrot also echoed the same sentiment that it is automatic for Adeoti to quit as SSG.

Said the Special Adviser to the governor of Osun State who also wanted to remain anonymous, “Alhaji Adeoti knows the drill. He already made up his mind that he was going to quit. So, he should just go honourably. He believes his butter will be buttered better at ADP or what is the name of the party he went to. We wish him the very best.

Adeoti had on Friday withdrew at the last minute from participating in the primary election of the APC over allegation of manipulation to favour the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola.

Meanwhile, Adeoti was sighted at the secretariat of the ADP located two buildings away from the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osogbo on Monday with hundreds of his supporters.

He is expected to immediately pick up his expression of interest in gubernatorial position form any time from now.
