Dr. Kola Balogun, a former Commissioner and a gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State has said that he is not disappointed that his former boss, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former governor of the state is in the 2019 governorship race with him.
He added that “I have no problems with this. It is his right to say he wants to run for the office of the governor of Oyo State. The more the merrier. I have no problem at all with that”.
Balogun gave these submissions on a live program on Fresh FM Radio Station in Ibadan monitored by PMParrot over the weekend.
Dr Balogun, who is now a member of Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) spoke on different issues.
He said both the Peoples Democratic Party and the ruling All Progressives Congress have been hit by ‘political ebola’ adding that they are at the peak of ‘political usefulness’.
He also noted that elections in Nigeria must be in tandem with what the people want. He submitted that the people are demanding for change in all sectors including the economy and education while they are also crying for an end to unnecessary killings which seem to have become ‘normal occurrences’.
Balogun, who recently left APC advised that to make the political system work, Nigerians must all work to ensure that the system throws up those who are intellectually ready to work for the progress of the country.
