The Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Tuesday, used the birthday anniversary of his Personal Assistant, Dayo Iyaniwura to renew his political ties with the two serving Senators from his state.
It was gathered that the governor, in his usual unpredictability used Dayo’s birthday to host Senators Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi and Abdulfatai Buhari from Oyo South and Oyo North Senatorial districts respectively.
This visit came after 14 senators including Senator Monsura Sunmonu, representing Oyo North senatorial district dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress. Soji Akanbi who was earlier listed among the Senators who dumped the APC debunked the reports, stating that he still remains with the APC.
This was made known in a release which said “Governor Abiola Ajimobi Celebrates his SSA Mr.Dayo Iyaniwura with a cake on his birthday today.
“Happy birthday Mr. Dayo. H.E was joined by Senator Soji Akanbi and Sen. Fatai Buhari.”
When PMParrot spoke with the ‘birthday boy’, Dayo Iyaniwura, he expressed gratitude to God and Governor Ajimobi for being a father indeed to him. He also thanked all others who have been contributing to his successes in the past years.
With the new political relationship forged by Ajimobi, Soji Akanbi and Fatail Buhari, political observers have noted that peace in the ruling APC in the state may be achieved faster than envisaged.
