Nigeria Senate President and one of the Presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr Bukola Saraki has urged Nigerians to stop voting based on sentiments of any kind.

Saraki stated this while addressing national delegates of the party at its secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Tuesday, 18th June, 2018.

He opined that over the years Nigerian presidents have been elected based on religion, tribe and language sentiments.

The Kwara State born politician established that leaders should be elected based on capacity, capability and courage to serve and deliver on their electioneering campaign promises to the people.

Senator Saraki said further that many countries that are making waves around the world today are not grooming leaders by chance, rather, they elect representatives that are capable to lead them to the promised land.

He implored the delegates to join and support him in the course of changing the fortune of the country to better.

Elder Wole Oyelese, who spoke on behalf of elders and leaders of the party commended the courage and character demonstrated so far by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki in the face of series of intimidation from the power that be in the country.

He pledged on behalf of the delegates from Oyo State to support him in realising his presidential ambition.
