President Muhammadu Buhari has joined other great Nigerians to mourn with and extend his heartfelt condolences to the Bamigboye family on the death of Brigadier-General David Bamigboye (retired), the first military governor of Kwara State.
According to Presidency in a release, as a military officer, community leader and elder statesman, the Buhari affirmed that Gen. Bamigboye, who was well respected for his versatility and leadership, will be long remembered for his service to the nation in a variety of roles.
President Buhari also paid tribute to his enduring commitment to the development of Kwara State during his tenure as military governor, particularly his far-reaching roles in helping to lay the foundation for an effective education system and civil service in the State.
