The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria have hailed the gallant efforts of the Nigeria’s CAF Cup representative Enyimba International Football club of Aba for securing a semi final ticket of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Aba Gunners on Sunday at the refurbished Enyimba stadium in Aba, Abia State south east Nigeria walloped visiting Rayon Sports of Rwanda 5-1 to pick the semi final ticket after the first leg had ended in a goalless draw.
Appraising the Enyimba’s performances so far in the CAF competition, Club Owners said the feat achieved by the Abia state owned club is not unconnected with the high level commitment of both the players and the technical crew as well as the managerial ability of the club management led by seasoned administrator Felix Anyansi-Agwu.
A statement by the Association jointly signed by the chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka charged the team to maintain the tempo as they seek to secure the ticket to the final and to emerge as the eventual winners of the trophy.
Meanwhile Club Owners have also congratulated the Enyimba boss and one of the front line members of the Club Owners Association Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu on his re-election as a ranking member of the Executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF.
The Association described Anyansi Agwu as a great ambassador of the Club Owners Association even with his numerous achievements which has earned him the most successful football club administrator in Nigeria.
