The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the association, Shobanke Oluyemi told newsmen in Ibadan that NANTA has embarked on the sensitization of members on the proposed Nigerian Travel Practitioners Identification Cards (NTPIC), and the Awareness Walk slated for Wednesday morning. He said it would be used to create more awareness for the scheme.
The walk according to NANTA spokesman will be spearheaded by the NANTA National Vice Chairman, Southwest, Olatokunbo Dagunduro, and will commence from the state’s office of the association at Adamasingba by 9am on Wednesday, with the designated route, through the government secretariat via Bodija to Mokola and back to Lekan Salami Stadium Sports Complex Ibadan.
Useful health talk by wellness experts will also be held for all participants that are mostly members of the association and few invited personalities and security personnel that will ensure an itch-free exercise.
The PRO, however, added that: “the walk is to create awareness for our drive to curb fraudulent practices of charlatans masquerading as travel agents and defrauding unsuspecting public.
“We are fully backed by the Federal Government. We are determined to use all means to check the activities of these fraudsters who have been defrauding innocent citizens who are desperate to travel out of the country by cutting corners”, he added.
