Rinsola Abiola, one of the daughters of late Basorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola has clinched the ticket of the Action Democratic Party to fight for a seat at the House of Representatives to represent Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode federal constituency of Ogun state.
In a statement made available to PMParrot over the weekend, the highly cerebral lady informed that her candidature was affirmed by members of ADP across the 38 wards in the three local government areas that make up the constituency.
Read the statement she sent:
I am pleased to announce that I have emerged as the Action Democratic Party’s House of Representatives candidate for Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode federal constituency of Ogun state. My candidature was affirmed by members of the party across the 38 wards in the three LGAs.
I joined ADP on September 6, exactly one month ago, and there could be no greater vote of confidence than this. My profound gratitude goes to all members of the party and all those who have supported me since I expressed my intention to run for office.
I hereby assure the people of Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode federal constituency of my commitment to seeking redress for years of neglect; there are communities in Obafemi Owode without power and federal infrastructure in all 3 LGAs need urgent attention. I believe that these are of utmost importance if we truly aim to enhance productivity.
My message is one of hope and accountability; if elected, I will ensure that your voices are heard and that the issues which matter to you are prioritised. I’m seeking your support at the polls next year; vote for me as your representative and I make a solemn vow to never let you down.
