It is now official that ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate has picked ex-Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State as his running mate.
It is interesting to know that out of all the likely candidates for the position such as; Charles Soludo, former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria; Akinwunmi Adesina, former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Chike Obi, former Managing Director of Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) and Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President, it is Peter Obi that emerged as his best choice.
With this development, political observers informed PMParrot that the stage is now set for an epic political battle.
Said an observer “the loyalties of both the South West people who have Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the South East people who now have Peter Obi as Vice Presidential candidates will now be tested.”
