Former Super Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo, has expressed his delight at signing a new one-year contract with Finnish Veikkausliiga outfit, RoPS.
The 33 year old defender, linked up with RoPS in March after ending his brief sojourn in Sweden with Eskilstuna.
The left-back has started all but one of his side’s league games this season and has hit the back of the net once.
The former Olympic Marseille defender has been a crucial player in RoPS’ set-up this term by helping the club maintain the second-place position in the table.
He took to Instagram to express his delight on penning a new deal with the Keskuskentta club.
“Happy to sign a new contract with my team, RoPS. Thank you Allah and thank RoPS football club for believing in me, I promise to always give my all. Thanks to my agents for making it happen,” Taiwo wrote on Instagram.
The experienced defender has featured for top European likes Marseille, AC Milan and English club, Queen Park Rangers.
