The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the House of Assembly seat in Ife North State Constituency, Prince Akinyode Abidemi Soyoye has unveiled his plans for the people of the State constituency if he eventually emerges winner in the forthcoming general elections.

Prince Oyewusi, Founder of Prince Akinyode Akinlolu Oyewusi Foundation (PAAO Foundation), non-governmental organization, disclosed in his 8-point development agenda titled “My Agenda of Unity, Equity and Progressive Development for Ife North State Constituency”, that his plans was in line with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to tackle various socio-economic challenges confronting the people of his constituency.
According to the young entrepreneur, “My strategic tour to the nooks and crannies of my constituency has shown that there is lost in the touch and connectivity between the needs of the people and the reality on ground. This is largely the challenges I strategically intend to tackle using my legislative prowess when eventually elected.”
Prince Oyewusi, while highlighting his plans, mentioned economic empowerment for youths, community security, educational support, financial support for farmers, and support for the people with disabilities, infrastructural development as well as quarterly town hall meeting with the people of his constituency as parts of schemes on his agenda.
PAAO Founder further noted that in order to tackle issue of economic empowerment and financial support, he will organize regular vocational skills acquisition programmes for the youth, as well as ensuring easy access to structured loan support for farmers and traders.
His words, “In the face of insecurity bedeviling the state, I have planned policies to strategically secure lives and properties in my constituency through establishing a cordial relationship between police and local vigilante group. To improve standard of education in my constituency, I will regularly give scholarship to best students across primary, secondary and tertiary levels. I will also regularly disburse Senior School Certificate Examination forms (WAEC and NECO) to assist final year secondary school students. To provide solace for farmers; I will subsidize farm equipment and seedlings to ensure bountiful cultivation and harvest.”
Prince Oyewumi, while speaking on health and health related issues, promised to continue in his mission through his foundation (PAAO) to periodically organize free medical check-up, dispense drugs and implement policies to encourage provision of basic amenities, INCLUDING Primary Health Centers for his constituents.
“I will equally give attention to the constituents with disabilities through regular skills acquisition programmes and financial support to encourage business. I will formulate policy that will propel the implementation of road network constructions that will connect rural areas within my constituency with urban centers for robust economic development. I will ensure provision of water boreholes and rural electrification for communities across the constituency.”
Prince Akinyode Oyewumi, in order to regularly give account of his stewardship promised to meet with his constituents at a town hall meeting to evaluate his performances as their representative in the Osun State House of Assembly on quarterly basis.
