Gambian referee, Bakary Papa Gassama will take charge of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture between Bafana Bafana of South Africa and the Super Eagles of Nigeria billed for 17th November at the magnificent FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.
Gassama, 39, was at the centre when the Super Eagles defeated the Desert Foxes of Algeria 3-1 at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture two years ago.
He is regarded as one of the best referees on the continent and was among the few African referees selected for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria currently leads Group E with nine points from four matches, one point ahead of South Africa which has eight points from the same number of matches.
Nigeria top Group E with nine points, one more than Bafana Bafana who sit in second position with eight points. Libya occupy third position with four points, while Seychelles have one point.
The Super Eagles will aim to avenge their 2-0 loss to the Bafana Bafana in the reverse fixture at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo last year.
