Oyo’s Former Deputy Governor, Arapaja Celebrates 60th Birthday

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, over the weekend, turned 60 years and marked it in a low key.

Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja, who is a former Ambassador to Jordan and Iran marked it with Muslim prayers at his residence located at Felele Area, Ibadan in the presence of his wife, Mrs Abiodun Arapaja, family, friends, political associates and other well-wishers who attended the special prayer.

Among the guests  that graced the occasion were Alhaja Bosede Adedibu, Minority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige and some ADC lawmakers in the House, former local government Chairmen, Hon. Abiodun Adedoja (Ekolo) and Ayinde Adewusi (Arole), Hon. Bamidele Ojo,  and Hon. Akinwande.

In a chat with PMParrot.com, the celebrant, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja gave thanks to Almighty God for sustaining his life in the last 60 years, stressing that it was the grace of God that has allowed him to be alive and achieve what he has been able to achieve so far.

He used the occasion to express his appreciation to his family, friends and supporters for always being there for him in the last 30 years that he has been in politics.

Commenting on the celebrant, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige described him as a leader without any blemish who has rendered selfless service to the people without discrimination.

Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja was a former Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government. He was a member who represented Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East Federal constituency between 2003 and 2007 before he became the Deputy Governor between 2007 to 2011. He was appointed an Ambassador to two countries until 2015 when his appointment expired.
