The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has recalled and reinstated the five Permanent Secretaries that were unlawfully retired in 2014 by the immediate past administration led by Mr. Ayodele Fayose.
The list of the reinstated Permanent Secretaries by Governor Fayemi includes Mr. Emmanuel Oso, Mr. Alfred Ologuntoye, Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi, Mrs. Funke Falodun, Mr. Ayoola Owolabi and Mr. Babatunde Alokan.
According to the governor’s spokesman, Yinka Oyebode in a statement made available to PMParrot in Ado Ekiti, “their reinstatement followed the successful hearing of their petitions by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which declared that they were unfairly treated.
The NHRC also agreed with the Petitioners and the State Government for their reinstatement and settlement of all their outstanding salaries and allowances for the period their appointments were illegally terminated”.
Yinka Oyebode also revealed that Governor Kayode Fayemi has directed that the five Permanent Secretaries be reinstated immediately. The CPS went further to declare that the letters communicating their reinstatement and signed by the Head of Service of Ekiti State takes immediate effect from November 19th, 2018.
