The family of late Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 4 Ibadan South/West Local Government youth leader, Abayomi Olanrewaju Falade has decried the delay in police investigation of the manner their son was assassinated on 29th April, 2015 which seems to be hindering the justice.
Chief Akinade Falade who signed a petition forwarded to the Inspector General of Police on behalf of the family told newsmen that the family is yet to get-over the death of their son (Abayomi Falade) who was gruesomely murdered in 2015 after having issues with Oyo PDP’s ward primaries with others.
“We implore the leadership of the Police Force to help us redress the unjustifiable death of our son Abayomi Olanrewaju Falade, his family especially, the wife Iyabo Falade has fled the country for fear of reprisal attack as we have vowed to see the case to a logical conclusion but the police have been foot-dragging on the investigation”, the statement read.
“We want the soul of our son to rest in peace by getting justice after his gruesome murder. This is why we are compelled to write this ‘save our soul’ letter”, the statement added.
Chief Falade also revealed that there is no support or any form of assistance rendered by the party to assist the immediate family of the deceased, especially the wife and the siblings.
