Demise Of Iyalode Of Ibadan: Ajimobi Mourns, Describes Her As ‘Exemplary Mother’

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has joined other great Nigerians to mourn the demise of the Iyalode of Ibadanland, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun.

Ajimobi described the late Iyalode who died on Saturday in Ibadan as an exemplary mother.

Also, in the condolence message signed by the governor when he visited the Basorun, Ibadan home of the late Iyalode, he wrote “Let me on behalf of the people and government of Oyo state extend condolence to the nucleus family of Mama.

“By tradition and relationship, mama was my mother. I knew mama since I was like nine years old and she was an exemplary mother, very elegant and very beautiful, she has a presence both in character and in the carriage.

“She epitomised nobility, she epitomised elegance and consequently became the queen of Ibadanland.”

The remains of the late Iyalode will be buried by 4pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
