Dr Kayode Fayemi’s government in Ekiti State has commenced the refund of money paid by traders for the occupation of the new altra-modern Oja Oba Market in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

In his opening remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives, Mr Kayode Abe who commended the Fayemi-led administration for the gesture, noted that the governor was magnanimous and timely in approving the refund .

Mr Abe said the Governor gave the prompt directive on the refund consequent upon the structural defect discovered at the market which government intended to put in order before re-allocating the market stalls.

He assured that government was ready to give the people of the State a state-of-the-art structure that would stand a test of time.

In her response, one of the traders, Mrs Cecilia Adebayo expressed appreciation to the Governor for government’s timely intervention on the refund and appealed for speedy completion of the project.
