The Coach of Nigeria’s representative in this year CAF Confederations Cup, Rangers International, Gbenga Ogunbote, says his team will approach their last play–off match with FC Bantu of Lesotho with all seriousness and believes the fixture is not an easy one as many has claimed.
Rangers qualified for the next round of the CAF second elite competition with unblemished record as they are yet to taste defeat from the four games aged so far.
The Flying Antelopes defeated USM Bel Abbes of Algeria to advance to book a date with FC Bantu who dropped out of CAF Champions league.
While reacting to the draw, Ogunbote said there are no easy game in the competition as every team has worked hard to reach this stage.
“The competition gets tougher and there are no small teams at this stage of the competition. That they are not known does not mean they should be underrated. They worked hard to reach this stage – even though they dropped from the Champions League – and that means they will be a tough side , ” he said .
Ogunbote reiterated that his side would leave no stone un-turned to make sure that they secure passage into the group stage.
“We will prepare hard for the first leg and work on our weaknesses from the previous matches so that we can have a good result in Lesotho.
The return leg in Enugu will also determine a lot of things but we have to put our best foot forward in the first leg to ease the pressure on ourselves.”
