Enugu Rangers technical adviser, Olugbenga Ogunbote is confident that his team will advance to the group stages of the 2018/19 Confederation of Africa Football Confederation Cup competition after recording a 2-1 away win against Bantu FC of Lesotho in the first leg.
Bright Silas and Godwin Aguda scored in each half to hand Ogunbote side a 2-0 lead before Lazola Jokojokwane reduced the deficit for Bantu.
“It was a great performance from my players but for the last minute loss of concentration,” Ogunbote said during his post-match interview.
“It will always get better. I believe that Bantu is not a bad side but e by the special grace of God, we shall finish the job we have started here.”
Rangers will take on the Lesotho league champions in the return leg slated for Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu on Sunday, January 20, 2019.
The winner, on aggregate, will qualify for the group stage of the competition.
