The aggrieved gubernatorial aspirants of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State have withdrawn the court case challenging the emergence of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as standard bearer of the party at the forthcoming elections.
Ambassador Oladejo Arapaja, who spoke on behalf of others, disclosed this during the inauguration of the gubernatorial campaign committee (Handshake Campaign Organization) of the party held at Jogor Event Centre, Ibadan.
The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State said that the idea to withdraw the case was borne out of their effort and interest they have for the party to emerge victorious in the elections.
Ambassador Arapaja expressed the readiness of all concerned people to work for the success of the party, saying that the demand at the initial stage is to encourage and ensure fair hearing among aspirants.
Some of them who were at the inauguration included Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Barrister Lowo Obisesan, Wale Adegoke and Oluseye Opatoki.
Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who was at the event appreciated all the aspirants and leaders of the party for their selflessness and cooperation so far, saying that they have toiled so much for the party than to allow it die.
Prince Oyinlola urged all party faithfuls to ensure that all hands are on deck during the coming elections, adding that ADC as a party has come to stay not only at the state level but at the national too.
Meanwhile, Senator Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin has inaugurated his campaign committee that will steer the affair during the elections.
The campaign committee, Handshake Campaign Organization (HCO), which was all inclusive has major stakeholders and party executive members represented at the Central Committee
Roll call at the event included Dr. Busari Adebisi, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, and Senator Olufemi Lanlehin Deputy’s, Alhaji Saheed Adejare.
