The leadership of the Super Eagles’ Supporters Club has joined other football stakeholders in the country in mourning the passing away of the mother of Al Nassr FC forward, Ahmed Musa, Mrs. Sarah Moses.
Mrs reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday at a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja after a brief illness.
The Super Eagles Supporter’s Club expressed its commiseration in a letter signed by the national Chairman of the body, Prince Vincent Okumagba, which was made available to PMParrotSports where they prayed God to grant the Eagles’ deputy captain the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“The sudden death of Mrs. Sarah Moses is a big loss the entire football fraternity in Nigeria as we at the Super Eagles Supporters Club could understand the grief experienced by our brother and thereby pray Allah to be with everyone the deceased left behind”, the letter reads.
The supporters described Ahmed Musa as one of the most dedicated members of the Super Eagles, with numerous achievements with the team, judging from his contributions with the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in 2013. “He’s Nigeria’s highest scorer at the FIFA World Cup having scored four goals in each of the last two finals (2014 and 2018), such good fellow thereby deserves every support especially during this time that he is mourning his loved one”.
