One of Nigeria’s popular gospel musicians, Evangelist Funmi Aragbaye has lost her husband, Elder Bola Aragbaye, at the age of 77.
The gospel artist’s husband died around 2:30pm on Wednesday, January 30.
PMParrot gathered that the gospel artist’s husband died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. The gospel artist is also the national president of Gospel Musicians’ Association of Nigeria. She is a songwriter and a televangelist.
Late Bola Aragbaye was said to had lived his life as he wished, moving from one achievement to another. He worked as a journalist at the Nigerian Tribune under the supervision of former Lagos state governor, Lateef Jakande.
The late Bola later joined The Sketch Press Limited after leaving the Nigerian Tribune in 1967. He became an editor at The Sketch Press Limited.
In 1981, the late Bola was appointed Chief Press Secretary to the late Adekunle Ajasin who was a governor of Ondo state.
The deceased clocked 77 years on November 10, 2018. He is survived by his gospel artist wife, children and grandchildren.
